SUNSET KAYAK TOUR

BRING A SENSE OF ADVENTURE.
WE'LL TAKE CARE OF THE REST.

THE JOURNEY

3 Hour / 9 KM Guided Tour

Our journey begins within 60 foot sheer rock walls, ancient coral reefs left behind by the melting and carving of the Laurentide Ice Sheet some 15,000 years ago. The mists from the Tooth of Time waterfall wash over us as we learn to paddle our crafts at its foot. As the sun lowers the crowds have departed and the entirety of the Elora Gorge is ours to explore, and ours alone. With growing confidence we turn our attention downstream, leaving the thrashing of the waterfall behind, replaced by the echoes of the rapids bouncing off of the overhanging cliffs above. The river, once meandering at a leisurely pace, has accelerated animatedly, and we are now at its mercy as we navigate its twists and turns. In time, we leave the Elora Gorge behind and the Grand River Valley surrounds us with its gentler beauty. While the sinking sun paints the sky in hues of pink and purple and the birds sing, all there is to do is relax and bask in the beauty.
